
The Royal Highland Show 25-28 June 2009 will be part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations and welcome even more visitors from around the world. The Royal Highland Show is a four-day event showcasing rural and agricultural life and is Scotland’s biggest outdoor event and one of the UK’s top agricultural shows. The 2008 show welcomed over 161,000 visitors to the showground at Ingliston, Edinburgh with over 1000 exhibitors and more than 4000 animals.
New this year will be the Royal Highland Winter Fair taking place on Wednesday 26th November at the Royal Highland Centre, Ingliston, Edinburgh. Previously run by the Scottish Fatstock Club alone, the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland is providing some assistance through a joint partnership agreement.
