The President’s Initiative
Each year, to mark the time when the Royal Highland Show was hosted in different regions of Scotland, a Presidential team is appointed to represent when it would have been their ‘turn’.
Their role is to ‘fly the flag’ for their part of Scotland by showcasing key players in the food, farming and countryside arena.
This year is the turn of Lothians and as part of their President’s Initiative the team are focusing on “Discover Careers – From Farm To Fork”.
Its aim is to encourage young adults of 16-25 to see the merits of a career in the Scottish agricultural, food, drink and allied industry sectors.
The show will feature winning project work by young people, plus a career pathway involving leading sector companies.
