Last night was nothing short of a fantastic celebration as the Scottish Agriculture Awards  returned, honoring a showcase of outstanding work full of innovation within the agricultural sector!

Hosted by rural influencer Cammy Wilson, known from The Sheep Game, the event featured 17 prestigious categories including:

  • Mixed Farm of the Year
  • Contractor of the Year
  • Farming’s Future Award

The event kicked off with a special nod to Eddie Gillanders, a veteran journalist whose impact on Scottish agricultural journalism over six decades earned him the Lifetime Achievement Award

Sandy Paul was also in the spotlight, receiving Shearwell Data’s Unsung Hero Award for his 46 years of dedicated service with the Ross family at Strichen Mains.

Robert Forrest Ltd, a family-run operation specialising in beef, sheep, and arable farming, took home the inaugural Mixed Farm of the Year award, sponsored by Thorntons, whilst James Hamilton won NFU Scotland’s Farming’s Future Award for his exceptional commitment to personal growth and contributions to the industry.

Sponsored by ScottishPower Renewables, the Champions of Champions award was presented to W Murray (Farming) Ltd, who had won Contractor of the Year. The judges praised their outstanding customer service and dedication to sustainability—two pillars vital for the future of farming!

The event’s hosts said a few words during the night as AgriScot Chairman Robert Neill shared his thoughts, emphasizing how the awards spotlight the skill, innovation, and resilience that define the agricultural industry.

James Logan, Chairman of RHASS, echoed this too, reflecting on the team spirit and hard work that unites the industry, especially after a challenging harvest and John Sleigh, Editor of the Scottish Farmer, spoke about the importance of celebrating excellence in the industry.

Congratulations to all winners and nominees and well done to all who were involved in putting on this event - see the full list of winners below!
