The Royal Higland Show welcomes on average 150,000 visitors each year and is regarded as Scotland premier agricultural show. Its appeal extends much further than the farming and agricultural sector, attracting vistors of all ages for what is regarded as a memorable day out.
An independent visitor profile survey, conducted at the show in 2007, highlighted:
- 65% of total visitors are ABC1 socio-economic
- 40% of visitors are farming /agriculture related and 60% general public
- 69% are repeat visitors to the show
- 98% of vistors regard the show as being good or very good.
- 81% attend the show because it is a good 'day out
- 59% of general visitors were most interested in food and drink
- 66% of the farming community were most intersted in livestock rings
- 59% buy something other than food and drink at the show
The show attracts a wide range of high profile sponsors and partners, many return each year.
