Open all four days of the show and situated this year in our Scottish Produce Hub Scotland's Larder, there are plenty of demonstrations and masterclasses that will tantalise your tastebuds. Who knows you may even learn a few cookery tips and tricks from the very best chefs Scotland has to offer!

Craig Palmer - Executive Chef

Proudly awarded the accolade of Scottish Chef of the Year 2023, Craig is a culinary artist and one of Scotland’s top chefs. He has cooked for A-list celebrities, the Royal Family and worked with some of the world’s most prestigious luxury brands to create dining experiences that stimulate and appeal to a person's five senses.

Craig Coupar - Head Chef

With over twenty years culinary experience, Craig has worked in restaurants that were awarded 3AA and 2AA Rosette’s at some of Scotland’s finest country house boutique hotels. He joined the Entier family in 2017 and works in Entier’s Wilde Thyme division. Craig has cooked for A-list celebrities, the Royal Family, and other well-known people. He is also part of Scotland’s culinary Olympic team and recently won two silver Olympic medals at the 2024 Culinary Olympics.

Chef Paul Terris

A distinguished figure in Scottish cuisine, Award-winning Development Chef Paul Terris joins the Royal Highland Show with a rich history spanning two decades. His career trajectory includes a pivotal Head Chef role in the East Neuk and leading the kitchen at the celebrated Grange at St Andrews, underscoring his dedication to flavour and seasonal excellence. Attendees of this year’s Royal Highland Show can expect a compelling demonstration of modern Scottish cooking from a true culinary leader

Jenny Thomson - Courses for Cooks

A cook and chef for over 30 years, Jenny trained at the renowned Leiths School of Food and Wine, London. She practiced her art working as a private cook in Scotland, France, Canada and The United States, coming back to Scotland to work as a chef in St Andrews. Since 2011, Jenny has been sharing her skills and passion for good, seasonal, home cooking, produced with the minimum of fuss and maximum flavour using the fresh bountiful produce of Scotland. She has developed a range of cookery courses, both In Person and available Online, to help inspire people to eat healthily, improve their cookery skills, boost confidence, become more efficient and intuitive in the kitchen whatever their culinary level.

Chef Rohan Wadke

Chef Rohan Wadke is an experienced and highly accomplished chef with over 20 years of experience working in the United Kingdom hospitality industry. Originally from Pune, Chef Rohan has made a name for himself in the culinary world with his exemplary journey, full of awards, accolades, and amazing achievements: 2024 EDM award for growth in culinary & contributions towards local community. 2024 Culinary Gold Medalist for National Chef of the Year Quarter Finalist on BBC's "MasterChef Professionals" in 2026 2011 Gold Medal in the Lamb Dish category at the 2011 ScotHot competition

Lauren Houstoun - Glenkilrie Larder Cook School

Lauren Houstoun leads the Glenkilrie Larder Cook School, which offers a unique culinary experience that highlights the provenance of Glenkilrie’s meats and the rich heritage of the farm and family. Lauren demonstrates how she would cook with the different cuts of venison, beef and lamb and allows participants to indulge in each delicious dish. At this year’s Royal Highland Show, Lauren will present "From Land to Larder," and give you a taste of this immersive experience capturing the true essence of Glenkilrie, where every bite tells a story of passion, sustainability, and tradition.

SAYFC 2025 Country Cooks

Kilmaurs YFC- Karen and Iain Shepherd- who took top spot and claimed this year’s grand prize of a 6-month supply of Taylors Crisps! Their winning dish consisted of an Onion Bhaji starter followed by a main of Pork Schnitzel (with a Taylors Crisps crumb), Mash Potato, Yorkshire Pudding and Gravy finishing with a Raspberry and Chocolate Sponge Tart with Custard as their dessert.

Rory Larkin – Development Chef, Lactalis UK & Ireland

Join Development Chef Rory Larkin as he shines a spotlight on the best of Scottish dairy. Representing Lactalis UK & Ireland, Rory will be celebrating two firm favourites – Galloway and Orkney Cheddar – with live cookery demonstrations that bring out the bold character and versatility of these much-loved cheeses. With a background in recipe creation, trend forecasting, and nutritional insight, Rory works closely with chefs, retailers, and food lovers across the UK to champion great cheese. At this year’s Food for Thought theatre, he’ll be sharing delicious ideas, simple techniques, and plenty of inspiration for anyone who wants to make more of Scottish cheese at home.
